Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 11, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of MyFXJournal. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

For how we collect, use, and retain personal data, see the Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your login details secure.

2. Service Description

MyFXJournal provides tools for journaling, importing, organizing, and analyzing trading activity across supported workflows such as manual trade entry, file-based MT5 exports, Tradovate imports, administrator-assisted MT5 account synchronization (“MT5 sync”), trade account management, dashboard metrics, and analytics views. The product may also surface behavioral-style summaries—for example trends, repeatable patterns suggested from your trade history, and machine-assisted “coaching hypotheses” layered on computed statistics. These summaries are tooling for reflection, not an objective psychological or risk profile. Features may change, be improved, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Certain features use automated or AI-assisted processing on your data: for example persisted weekly AI reviews, optional conversational follow-up tied to a stored weekly review (including message threads we keep so the chat stays coherent later), reflections or insights surfaced in the UI, and other generated text from trade history, journal notes, check-ins where you submit them, and stored profile preferences you choose to provide. Outputs may also reuse prior-week context (such as saved reviews or summarized history) when the product is designed that way—we do not claim a separate audited “behavioral science” pipeline; it is journal and analytics tooling with model-generated language on top.

AI-assisted outputs are iterative and imperfect. Automated labels, pattern calls, hypotheses, tone, emphasis, and suggested “next steps” can be wrong, overly generic, or blind to market conditions and non-journal facts. They are not a substitute for your own judgment, record-keeping, or professional advice.

Imports, syncs, and automated pulls depend on the source (files, your broker, or MT5 history). They may be incomplete, delayed, mis-mapped, or otherwise wrong—always double-check what matters for your decisions.

The service is designed to support journaling, review, and reflection workflows. It is not a brokerage, signal service, copy-trading product, or trade execution service.

MT5 sync, pricing or plan tier rollouts, and AI-driven journal features may be offered on a gradual, waitlist-managed, beta, or “best effort” basis. Capability, eligibility, quotas, trials, or access windows can change without notice aside from where we deliberately communicate them in product (for example onboarding or plan screens). Setup for MT5 typically begins only after you submit investor/read-only credentials and any batch or queue requirements are satisfied for that trade account.

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, operational reasons, or third-party or infrastructure outages. We do not guarantee a particular uptime, response time, or delivery time for any feature.

3. User Data and Imported Content

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the trade data, notes, files, and account identifiers you upload or enter into MyFXJournal.

Import features depend on the structure and content of files you provide. MyFXJournal does not guarantee that every broker, platform, export format, timezone convention, or data mapping will be recognized or interpreted perfectly.

You should not upload sensitive information that is not reasonably needed for your own journaling use of the service.

If you use MT5 sync, you must submit only MT5 investor/read-only credentials for accounts you are authorized to access. Do not submit a master password, trading password, or any credential that can place trades, withdraw funds, or make account changes.

By submitting MT5 sync details, you authorize MyFXJournal to store and use those read-only credentials to connect to MT5 and import trade history for your account. MyFXJournal is not intended to place trades, manage broker settings, or perform brokerage actions on your behalf.

If you choose to connect a live or real-funded MT5 account, you do so at your own risk. You remain responsible for confirming the correct account, broker permissions, investor/read-only access level, and for any trading, funding, broker, or account consequences connected to the credentials or account you submit.

To troubleshoot support requests, sync failures, or security issues, authorized MyFXJournal staff may access your dashboard, analytics, trade history, stored weekly AI outputs and optional review-follow-up chat threads, MT5 sync status, and related account pages on a read-only basis. That troubleshooting access does not authorize us to place trades, change broker settings, or edit your stored trade data unless you separately request a specific change and we clearly confirm it.

4. No Investment Advice; Limits on Behavioral Interpretation

MyFXJournal is an informational journaling and analytics aid only and does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or medical/psychological advice. You remain solely responsible for your trading decisions and outcomes, including position sizing, risk, compliance with regulators and brokers, and any losses.

Narratives about discipline, habits, “revenge” trading, routines, timing, emotional pressure, confidence, or similar language are illustrative coaching language derived from imperfect trade-history signals and chosen model behavior. They are not clinical assessments, diagnoses, or verified facts about you; they can miss context and should be treated as prompts for your own review.

AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or generic (including hallucinated linkage between trades and causes) and must not be relied on without independent verification against your logs, broker statements, and judgment.

NFA: Nothing in MyFXJournal, including AI-generated reviews, summaries, analytics, conversational replies, or prompts, constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by:

  • Attempting unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
  • Uploading malicious code or interfering with normal platform operation.
  • Using the platform in violation of applicable law or regulation.
  • Trying to scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse automated features, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Submitting unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content through notes, uploads, or contact forms.
  • Submitting unauthorized or over-privileged credentials, including trading or master passwords where read-only MT5 credentials are required.
  • Attempting to extract other users’ data, bypass entitlements or fair-use limits, or misuse waitlist or billing flows.
  • Using conversational or AI interfaces to solicit disallowed outputs (such as individualized trade picks or claims we cannot verify) beyond what we design the product for.

6. Intellectual Property and License

The service, including branding, software, and design elements, is owned by MyFXJournal or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant us a limited license to host and process it to provide the service.

That license includes processing your submitted trade data and journal notes with third-party service providers, including AI providers, when needed to operate AI-assisted features you use.

7. Deletion and Account Actions

Certain in-app deletion actions may permanently remove trades, trade accounts, import batches, analytics, and linked AI review history. You are responsible for confirming destructive actions before submitting them.

If MT5 terminal cleanup is still pending when a linked user or trade account is deleted, MyFXJournal may retain a limited cleanup-only MT5 terminal record, such as terminal path, MT5 AppData hash, masked account identifier, server, and cleanup timestamp, until manual cleanup is completed.

We may preserve limited records where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of these terms.

Closing your account or deleting content may not immediately remove data from backups, logs, or systems retained for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that imports, analytics, timezone normalization, AI outputs—including weekly reviews, conversational replies, hypothesis-style summaries, or pattern language—or performance metrics will always be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We do not warrant that MT5 sync, broker connectivity, or submitted account credentials will always work without delay, mismatch, interruption, or data gaps, including when you connect a live or real-funded account.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyFXJournal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or trading outcomes.

This limitation includes losses, missed opportunities, broker-side actions, sync delays, import errors, platform outages, mis-timed or erroneous AI narratives, misplaced confidence in hypothesis-style summaries, or other consequences arising from live or real-funded MT5 accounts you choose to link, from the credentials or account details you submit, or from read-only troubleshooting access performed to investigate your account or support request.

10. Subscription, Waitlist, and Payment

Portions of MyFXJournal are or may become free while other capabilities are gated by plan tier, trials, feature flags, or capacity. Where we invite you to join a waitlist we collect limited information needed to manage interest (for example email and stated preferences)—see the Privacy Policy for detail.

If paid subscriptions or upgrades are introduced, billing is expected to be handled by a third-party payment processor (for example Stripe). Your card or payment details are processed by that provider under its terms; we generally receive payment status and limited billing metadata needed to operate your account, not full card numbers stored on our own servers. Taxes, currency, and invoice practices follow what we display at checkout or in account settings when those flows exist.

Fees are for software access and related services, not trading performance. Unless required by applicable law or stated otherwise at purchase, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you cancel, you typically keep access through the end of the period you already paid for, subject to how the product implements cancellation at that time.

Plan names, prices, entitlements, and trial rules can change. We are a small product and do not guarantee grandfathering of every legacy price or feature; where we explicitly grant grandfathering (for example in product copy or account flags), that exception controls for the accounts it applies to.

11. Termination and Access

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the service (in whole or for specific features) if you breach these terms, if we detect abuse or security risk, for operational or legal reasons, or if we wind down or materially change the product. We may also pause MT5 or AI workloads when infrastructure, third-party APIs, or capacity require it.

You may stop using the service at any time. Deletion of your account or data may be subject to the retention and backup notes elsewhere in these terms and in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.

If we make a material change, we may also provide additional notice in the product or through account or service communications where appropriate.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
